Printmaking is probably my favourite workshop so far. I liked how we got to mix pain together and create our own designs and then print them on to paper.
To print we used a small piece of metal and etched our design onto it. To do this we had to, sand out metal to make sure there were no rough edges, then we had to draw our design onto some tracing paper and then use a sharp pointed metal rod and scratch our design onto the metal.
Afterwards we rolled a colour paint of our choice on to the metal, placed it onto some paper face down and rolled it through the roller machine. The machine puts pressure onto the metal which then transfers the painted design from the metal to the paper.
